About "R T Dubbs"
Sunday Nov 29, 2009
Sunday Nov 29, 2009
R T Dubbs has been playing guitar since Christmas morning of 1956 when he received a red "Roy Rogers" guitar from Santa Claus. He picked up that guitar, open tuned it, because he didn't know any chords, and sang his heart out to the neighborhood surrounding the LaMarque, Texas, First Christian Church, where his father was the minister. Things pretty much went downhill from there, but old R T is no quitter, no sir. That's why he's proud to share these songs with his friends a mere 53 years after his first gig and in no way means any disrespect to the artists that made the original recordings.
